Become A Presenter With Influence

Throughout history, people of influence have all had one thing in common: the ability to move the masses.

How do they do this?

Through delivering a powerful message from the stage!

Martin Luther King, Oprah Winfrey, Tracy Grimshaw. All influencers of a generation, all world-class presenters. You see the key to presenting is being present. By having a presence, these people command attention, and an expectant audience is ready and engaged, hanging off every word.

The interesting thing is they weren’t born with this skill though! They had to condition a mindset that said no matter what, their message had to be shared.

Learning to Present

When Daniel Day signed up for our Platinum Package in 2015, he wanted to be a coach. He has a passion for helping people, and has worked day and night to perfect the NLP techniques that will help his clients achieve incredible results.

However, he was limited in how many people he could help, because he had no presenting skills. He was terrified of speaking in front of groups of people, and would speak so fast that nobody could understand what he was saying! All he needed was the right tools for success.

‘Going to Influence Now, I was pretty excited. I had heard a lot of great things about it, and I was eager to add group coaching and seminars to my business. I was a little bit nervous because previously when I spoke in front of crowds of people, or even just friends, I would go completely red. My mind would go blank, I just didn’t like seeing everyone’s eyes on me!

‘Throughout the course we had quite a few practice sessions, speaking in front of small groups of people. The first time I did it, I spoke pretty quickly. I didn’t take it too seriously because that’s my coping mechanism.

‘We got taught how to create metaphors and how to build rapport from the stage, and we actually utilised that in our speaking component. By the end of the week, I was able to speak in front of twenty-five people without going red!

‘I got a lot of great feedback, and it was a total transformation for me, going from the first day where I just waffled on, to being able to create a structure which still had the flexibility for me to use my intuition and humour to help build rapport. I was really happy with my presentation.’

The Power Of The Metaphor

I remember when I was first taught about metaphors it was like a light switch was flicked on in my brain, and all the lights came on. Since I was a kid, I’ve always loved movies, especially superhero ones. Good v Bad, acceptance of self, overcoming challenges, inspiring the masses, movies are so powerful!

For many people who attend a seminar such as Live it Now, the thing they remember most is the stories. A metaphor is a story! So when a presenter has a piece of really important information they want to share with participants, and wants to make sure it sticks in the memory, they will often use a metaphor.

‘I’ve been able to implement the training I’ve received from Influence Now by being able to rapidly build metaphors that help my clients go on a journey. Because the unconscious mind can take things personally, creating really powerful messages hidden inside of these stories helps them to get unstuck and inspires them even more.

‘I’ve done Excellence Now a few times and I became better at the NLP techniques we learn, but I think Influence Now is what really cemented it in for me and now I can create powerful metaphors on the fly, depending on the situation or what a client’s going through. I can help bring a realism to their problem’.

Presentations Generate Sales

When someone develops the ability to present, their earning potential becomes unlimited. Some of our Influence Now graduates have become sought after speakers across the country. Others have created webinars and workshops that enable them to get into the community and serve more people.

For Dan, he has been able to take the techniques he learnt at Influence Now, and use them to attract more clients by giving regular NLP presentations in Melbourne. He is one of Laneway Learnings guest speakers, and most recently filled a room in the Melbourne CBD when he gave a powerful presentation on Cause vs Effect!

‘Running my own seminars has brought incredible results to my business. It’s helped me feel comfortable and confident in front of a large, crowded room and has established me as an expert.
